Equilibrium For Life offers a flexible menu of effective therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the needs of your child/young person.
(Counselling/therapy is available from age 8 and upwards online during the COVID-19 situation).
Various age and developmental stage appropriate tools/interventions such as drawing, painting, crafts, sandtray therapy, psycho-educational board games, guided imagery and Mindfulness are used to encourage your child/young person to comfortably express their difficulties and to talk about how they are feeling and discover ways of managing their difficulties.

Many children/young people who have previously engaged in therapy with Equilibrium For Life have stated that they have felt happier, hopeful and more confident to deal with their problem(s) after just ONE session.

Counselling/therapeutic input will help your child/young person to develop a positive attitude to life, recognise their strengths, build resilience and self confidence in an enjoyable and relaxed way either within their own home, in school or in the Equilibrium For Life premises. (Due to current restrictions, all therapy is currently delivered online)
Your child/young person will learn how to use their skills and strengths to help themselves to better manage their unhelpful thoughts, feelings, unwanted behaviour and to successfully manage their difficulty, issues/problems.
Typical child/young person related difficulties that Equilibrium For Life can help with includes the following:
- family and step-family relationships
- parental separation and divorce
- bullying including cyber bullying, friendship and school issues such as school anxiety and/or school refusal
- bereavement and loss
- emotional and behavioural issues e.g. anxiety, anger, low mood, low self esteem, self confidence, attachment, sleep issues etc

1:1 sessions are an affordable £40 per session- price includes session preparation and all materials used.
